CNECC held New Year Party successfully

2013 New Year Party for Promoting International New Energy Development was successfully held in the afternoon of January 18, 2013. More than 40 representatives from Embassies of United States, France, British, Spain, Romania, Finland, India, Brail, South Africa, Japan, Zambia, Portugal, German, and Korea, government workers, International Finance Corporation(IFC), Asian Development Bank(ADB), World Wild Fund(WWF), New Energy and Industrial Technology Development(NEDO), United Nations Industrial Development Organization(UNIDO), Europe-China Clean Energy Centre(EC2), and some domestic enterprise representatives participated in the event.

Secretary General of CNECC, Dr. Zeng Shaojun made a speech. He expressed the sincere thanks to Embassies in Beijing and international organizations for their continuous support and all their participants. At the same time, he appealed to shoulder the responsibility to promote health development of the industry and cooperate together under the downturn global economy and hard conditions for new energy industry.

Senior supervisors and officials from IFC, Portugal Global-Trade and Investment Agency(AICEP), Kotra-Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, EC2, and Embassy of Romania also introduced the role they played and the achievements in promoting new energy industry respectively, and expressed their desire to develop clean energy and international cooperation with CNECC and domestic enterprises.

Mr. Sun Hao from IFC said that as one part of World Bank, IFC has been promoting the development of clean energy. Now it pays much attention to develop off-grid power generation in Africa. He wishes that more and more enterprises could participate in and promote the development of clean energy in Africa with the help of World Bank. Augustin Iosifescu, Minister Counsellor of Romania Embassy in China also introduced subsides and development status of solar photovoltaic capacity in Romania in excellent Chinese language.

In addition, representatives from Embassy of Zambia, Embassy of British and UNIDO made sufficient communication with Secretary General Dr. Zeng and expressed their willing to cooperation with CNECC in co-organize China New Energy Salon, English Annual Report on New Energy Industry, Ocean Energy Report, etc.

This New Year Party shows the process and achievement for CNECC in promoting international exchange and cooperation.
